1. What an Emisil piece is

Every Emisil piece is a handmade, non-medical anatomical model, cast, pigmented and hand-finished to order for one customer, in the size, shade and configuration that customer selects. Each piece is made by hand by makers who have spent years working in ultra-realistic anatomical modelling.

An Emisil piece is not:

  • a medical device within the meaning of Regulation (EU) 2017/745. We make no clinical, therapeutic, diagnostic or prosthetic-treatment claim of any kind;
  • a food-contact item;
  • a children's product.

Pieces are cast in high-quality platinum-cure silicone of the grade used for prosthetic work. The material grade concerns the silicone itself; it does not make the finished piece a certified medical device or a product intended for medical use.

2. Made to order — the 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply

Because each piece is manufactured to the customer's own specification, the 14-day right to withdraw from a distance contract without giving a reason does not apply. This follows from Article 16(c) of Directive 2011/83/EU, implemented in Lithuania by Article 6.22810(2) of the Civil Code, and from the equivalent exemption in the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

This applies whether or not the package has been opened, and whether or not production has begun. The Court of Justice of the European Union confirmed in Case C-529/19 that the exemption applies from the moment the contract is concluded, even where the trader has not yet started making the goods.

We will nevertheless cancel or amend an order free of charge for as long as your piece has not entered production — but please understand that this is something we choose to offer, not an entitlement. Write to support@emisil.com as early as you can.

This exemption does not affect your rights where a piece is genuinely faulty. Those are set out in section 3.

3. Conformity: what is a fault, and what is not

Under Directive (EU) 2019/771 and Article 6.363 of the Lithuanian Civil Code, we are liable for two years for a lack of conformity that existed at the time of delivery. That liability is free, it applies whatever else this page says, and we do not ask you to give it up.

What it does not cover is normal wear, or damage arising from use, care or outside influence. The rest of this section says plainly which is which, so that neither of us has to argue about it later.

3.1 What we treat as a fault — covered

  • Delamination or separation of the silicone with no external cause, appearing within a reasonable period after delivery.
  • Failure of an internal rod, armature or fixing that is not connected to how the piece was used.
  • Structural voids or casting defects present at delivery.
  • Pigment that lifts or flakes off (as distinct from gradual fading with age and light).
  • A piece produced in a shade, size or configuration other than the one confirmed on your order.
  • Damage that occurred before the piece reached you.

On shade: our Skin Tone Matcher and swatches are guidance tools, not a guarantee of match — screens, cameras and lighting all change how a shade reads. The shade produced is the shade confirmed on your order. A change of preference after delivery is not a fault. If you are unsure, ask us before ordering and we will send you a physical swatch card free of charge.

3.2 What is not a fault — wear, use and outside influence

Wear. Silicone is a wearing material. Surface abrasion, thinning, loss of sheen, gradual fading and eventual splitting are the normal end of a piece's service life, and how quickly they arrive depends far more on use than on anything else — much as it does with a leather strap or a pair of shoes.

The soft-versus-strong trade-off. We pour these pieces soft because that is what makes them convincing. The thinnest and most flexible areas — typically the junction between the scrotum and the shaft and the STP channel, and on models fitted with one a sliding foreskin — are the areas that give way first. That is the material, not the workmanship: every step toward realism costs durability. If durability matters more to you than maximum softness, ask for the Reinforced build, which adds material through that area at no extra charge. It takes far more punishment. That area also becomes slightly thicker and firmer and loses some of its softness, and you will feel the difference there; the rest of the piece is unchanged.

Mechanical damage — from sitting, kneeling or lying on the piece; sport, jumping or vigorous movement; pressure or friction from tight clothing; impact, crushing or dropping; abrasion against rough or sharp surfaces; cycling or riding with the piece compressed between body and clothing.

Third parties and animals — bites, scratching or chewing by a dog, cat or other animal; damage caused by another person.

Everyday snags — zips, buttons, clasps, nails, rings or other jewellery catching the surface.

Care and environment — contact with hot or boiling water; prolonged direct sunlight or heat; cleaning with alcohol, solvents or aggressive chemicals; chlorinated water; oil-based or silicone-based lubricants; storage in contact with other silicone items or with materials that degrade silicone; damage from a repair or modification carried out by anyone other than us.

3.3 How to make a piece last

  • Powder it. A dusting of renewing powder removes surface tack and is the single most effective thing you can do for its life.
  • Reduce friction. Use a water-based product to reduce surface friction — never silicone-based or oil-based, which attack the surface. On models with a sliding foreskin this is not optional: moving a dry foreskin tears the tip, and that damage is not a fault.
  • Wash gently in warm — not hot — water with a mild neutral soap, and dry fully before storing.
  • Store it in a cloth bag, on its own, in a dry, cool, dark place. Not on a windowsill, not on a radiator, not in a sunlit room.
  • Keep it out of chlorinated water — pools and chlorinated hot tubs accelerate degradation.

3.4 Intended use, and use we warn against

Emisil pieces are handmade anatomical models, made to order, and intended to be worn against the body. Each product page describes what that model is and gives its full anatomical dimensions.

Pieces with a firm shaft. Our Pack & Play (ER) models carry a permanently integrated silicone rod, so the shaft stays firm at all times with no setup. Worn against the body, these pieces can be used for penetration, provided a condom is used and the conditions below are followed.

3-in-1 models with the support rod. The 2nd Gen STP, the Mini 3-in-1 and the 1st Gen 3-in-1 are supplied with a support rod. With the rod fitted the shaft becomes rigid, and the same conditions apply to them as to the Pack & Play line. With the rod removed the piece is soft and is for wear only. These models also carry a urine channel: rinse it through before and after, and keep the condom on throughout.

Pieces without a firm shaft. Soft models cast without a rod, the 3rd Gen STP and the Compact carry no firm shaft and cannot support themselves. They are made for wear, not for penetration. This is a matter of how the piece is built, not a restriction we impose.

Where a piece is used for penetration, the following conditions apply. These exist because the consequences are serious, not because we expect them to happen.

  • A condom is required. It protects you and your partner, keeps the silicone clean, and materially extends the life of the piece. Use only condoms carrying water-based lubricant.
  • Water-based lubricant only. Silicone-based and oil-based products attack the surface and will damage the piece — the same rule as section 3.3.
  • Not for extended periods inside the body. Platinum-cure medical-grade silicone is body-safe against skin, but these pieces are not designed to remain inside the body.
  • Never as a separate piece. Used loose and detached from the body, a piece has no flared safety base. Without one it can become lodged and require medical removal. This is the one use we warn against without exception.
  • Rough or high-impact use. Vigorous movement can mark, stretch or tear the surface. That is wear, and it is not a manufacturing fault.

The following apply to every piece we make.

  • Not for the mouth. Not designed to be put in the mouth, chewed or swallowed, and not a food-contact item. If any part is swallowed or causes choking, seek medical help immediately.
  • Not for children. Keep out of reach of children.
  • Stop if something is wrong. If you experience pain, bleeding, irritation or any allergic reaction, stop using the piece and speak to a doctor.
  • Not a medical device. Nothing we make is intended to treat, diagnose or manage any medical condition, and nothing here is medical advice.

Use that contradicts these warnings falls outside a piece's intended use. Damage arising from it is not a manufacturing fault, is not covered by section 3.1, and the consequences are the user's own responsibility.

4. Where our responsibility begins and ends

We are responsible for making your piece to the specification you confirmed, in sound condition, from the materials we describe, and for putting right a genuine manufacturing fault under section 3.1 and the law.

We are not responsible for consequences arising from use that falls outside a piece's intended use as described in section 3.4, from care that departs from section 3.3, from the acts of other people or of animals, or from a customer's own decisions about how to use a piece in ways we neither suggest nor recommend.

Nothing in this document excludes or limits liability where the law does not allow it to be excluded or limited — in particular liability for death or personal injury caused by a defective product.

5. If you think your piece is faulty

You do not send anything back. These are intimate items; posting a used one back is unpleasant for you, and handling used intimate items is not something our workshop does. Claims are assessed from photographs.

  1. Write to support@emisil.com with your order number, as soon as is reasonably possible after you notice the problem, and we will send you a short claim form. It asks when the problem appeared, how the piece has been used, cleaned and stored, and for four photographs: the whole piece, the affected area close up, the affected area beside a ruler, and where the piece is normally kept.
  2. We assess it and reply with a decision and the reasons for it. We answer every message within one business day and every written complaint with a reasoned reply within 14 days.
  3. If photographs are not enough, we will offer a formal technical assessment at our expense, including collection. That offer stands for as long as your claim is open.
  4. Where a claim is covered, the remedy is a replacement piece, made and shipped free of charge. The law provides that repair or replacement comes first; a price reduction or refund arises later, if a fault is not put right, recurs, or is serious. Since we cannot repair a piece we do not take back, replacement is what we give — without argument, where a claim is covered.
  5. Before or after your replacement arrives, as you prefer, we ask you to cut through the original piece and send one photograph. That closes the file.
  6. A replacement continues the coverage period of the original piece; it does not start a new one.

6. What you confirm at checkout

Because some of what is described above is specific to handmade, made-to-order pieces, we ask you to confirm it separately at checkout rather than bury it in general terms. It is a single tick box, kept apart from any other consent, and it reads:

I have read and I accept the following about this handmade, made-to-order piece:

  • It is made to my own specification, so the 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply — opened or unopened.
  • Handmade variation is normal: shade, hand-painted detail, small internal bubbles and translucency in thin areas are characteristics, not faults.
  • Silicone is a wearing material, and the thinnest areas — the scrotum junction, the STP channel, and on models fitted with one a sliding foreskin — are wear areas that give way with use. This is normal wear, not a manufacturing fault. A Reinforced build is available on request if I want more durability instead of maximum softness.
  • Care is required: powdering, water-based products only, gentle washing, dry dark storage, no chlorinated water.
  • The piece has no flared safety base. It must never be inserted beyond the insertable length shown, or released inside the body, and it is not for the mouth or for children. Use contrary to these warnings is my own responsibility.

Your ordinary agreement to our terms of sale stays where it is, as a separate tick box. Keeping the two apart is deliberate: this confirmation is about specific characteristics of your piece, not about the terms generally.
