Warranty & Emisil Care+
Hand-made by us. Backed for real.
Every Emisil prosthetic is sculpted, poured and hand-painted by real people — then checked by hand before it ever reaches you. If something is wrong with our craftsmanship, we send you a new one — and you never post anything back. No fine-print games, no hassle. Just a promise we actually keep.
One simple promise — not three confusing warranties.
Your Emisil is covered free against manufacturing and workmanship faults for 3 months from the day it arrives. You don't pay extra for it, you don't choose a tier, and you don't read three pages of conditions to find out what you actually bought. If we made a mistake, that's on us.

Emisil Care+
Emisil Care+ is launching soon — an optional 2-year plan that adds cover for accidental damage and wear, with one free replacement if a piece is ever damaged beyond repair (we send a new one; you never post anything back). For now, minor tears you can fix yourself with our repair kit.
Exactly what's covered — in plain words
We'd rather tell you the truth up front than hide behind "at our discretion." Here's the honest line between a fault we own and normal life with a silicone piece.
Covered, free
- Seam or bonding failure that isn't caused by misuse
- A structural void large enough to make the piece tear or deform — not the tiny bubbles that are normal in hand-poured silicone
- An internal rod that snaps or breaks on its own in normal use — a rod that simply slides out can be re-seated (see below)
- Paint that flakes or lifts off from a production fault — not colour variation or hand-painted detail like moles & veins
- Function faults from manufacturing — e.g. a blocked STP channel
- Wrong item or wrong ordered shade shipped to you
Not covered (this is normal life)
- Natural aging, softening or colour fading over time
- Everyday wear — surface matting, light friction marks
- Tears from over-stretching, nails, teeth, pets or accidents
- Tears at thin, high-stress areas — the shaft–scrotum join, STP channel or sliding foreskin — from lifting, stretching or running them dry
- Damage from oil-based lube, harsh cleaners, heat or bad storage
- DIY or third-party repairs and modifications
- A shade looking different on your screen vs the tone you ordered
Most of these aren't dead ends — minor tears you can fix with our repair kit, and with Emisil Care+ (coming soon) damage beyond repair will be covered by one free replacement. Not sure if what you're seeing is a fault? The next section draws the line clearly.
A few normal quirks — and how to tell them from a real fault
Because every piece is poured and painted by hand, it carries small human characteristics. We'd rather show you exactly where the line sits before you buy than argue about it after — so you always know what counts and what doesn't.
Tiny air bubbles
Normal: small bubbles you can only spot when you hold the piece up to the light. Hand-poured silicone always traps a little air — almost every realistic piece has some, and they don't change how it feels or how long it lasts.
We'd cover: a void large enough to make the silicone tear, thin or deform in normal use.
Light shows through it
Normal: hold any realistic silicone up to a bright light and it glows — exactly like your own earlobe does when the sun is behind it. That glow is why it reads as living skin instead of plastic. In daylight and against your body it looks solid and real.
The upside: this translucency is the single biggest reason an Emisil looks alive, not rubbery — it's the craft working as intended.
The firm rod (Pack & Play / ER)
Normal: the firm rod can slide or pop out — it's made to be re-seated in seconds. Prefer a softer, more secure feel? Choose our silicone rod — the more natural option, and far less likely to shift.
We'd cover: a rod that snaps or breaks on its own, without misuse.
Hand-painted detail
Normal: moles, veins, freckles and gentle tone variation are painted on by hand, on purpose, for realism. No two pieces are identical — that's exactly what makes it look real, not a blemish.
We'd cover: paint that flakes or lifts off the silicone because of a production error.
Silicone is a living material — here's the truth
A hand-made silicone prosthetic isn't a phone case. It's soft, skin-like and made to be lived in — and that means it changes a little over time. It may soften, the colour may mellow, the matte finish may smooth where you handle it most. None of that is a fault. It's the material doing exactly what a realistic material does.
So we don't pretend it lasts forever untouched, and we won't bury the truth in fine print. Instead we cover what we're actually responsible for — our craftsmanship — and back the rest with optional Care+ for when life gets rough. Treat it kindly (water-based lube, gentle wash, dry storage) and it will reward you.
Why our cover feels different
Most makers in this space lock their best cover behind paid upgrades and vague wording. We went the other way.
| Emisil | Typical industry warranty | |
|---|---|---|
| Cost of cover | Included free | Sold as paid 1- or 2-year upgrades |
| How many tiers to understand | One free + one optional Care+ | Three different warranties to decode |
| Cover starts | The day it's delivered | The day you paid (handmade = long wait first) |
| What's covered | A clear written list | "At our discretion" |
| Posting your used item back | Never — we just send a new one | You ship the used item back at your cost |
| Privacy | Discreet, plain packaging | Rarely mentioned |
| Honesty about silicone aging | Told up front | Buried in exclusions |
"Typical industry warranty" reflects publicly published terms common among comparable makers, summarised for comparison. We don't name names — we just do better.
Making a claim takes about two minutes
A real person on our team handles it — kindly, quickly and in complete confidence.
Message us
Email support@emisil.com or use the contact page with your order number and what's gone wrong.
Send photos and a quick video
A clear shot of the issue and the whole piece helps us understand it fast. That's usually all we need — nothing gets posted back to us.
We review within 2 working days
A maker — not a bot — looks at it personally and tells you straight whether it's a craftsmanship fault we cover.
We send you a new one
On a covered claim we ship you a new piece — you keep nothing to post back. Before a replacement we just ask for a photo of the old one cut and disposed of. It arrives in plain, discreet packaging.
How it works — minor vs beyond repair. We never ask you to post anything back — for your privacy, for hygiene, and to save you the hassle and customs. A minor accidental tear you can fix yourself in minutes with our Silicone Repair Kit — no need to involve us at all. For damage that's beyond repair, we simply send you a new piece; before we do, we ask for a photo or video showing the old one has been cut and disposed of. Emisil Care+ (launching soon) will include one free replacement — it doesn't reset the clock, and it stays with the original order (not transferable). The free 3-month guarantee covers genuine manufacturing faults the same way: a new piece, no return.
A little care goes a long way
Follow these and your Emisil stays better for longer — and you keep your guarantee intact.
Water-based lube only
Silicone and oil/silicone lubes don't mix — they break the surface down over time.
Gentle wash, air dry
Mild soap and warm water, then let it dry fully before storing. No harsh chemicals.
Store cool & flat
Keep it out of direct sun and heat, ideally in its pouch, away from dust and sharp edges.
Be gentle at the shaft join
The point where the shaft meets the scrotum takes the most strain. At rest the shaft sits downward — repeatedly lifting it up stresses that join and can tear it, so support it and avoid over-bending.
Keep sliding parts lubed
Models with a sliding foreskin (e.g. FL11) need water-based lube on the foreskin at all times — running it dry creates friction that can tear it.
Powder it regularly
A light dusting of renewing powder keeps the silicone soft and non-tacky, and helps it last far longer between uses.
Warm it before play
Cold silicone is stiffer and tears more easily. Warm it with body heat or warm water first so it flexes safely — especially at the stress points.
